Winner of iF Design Award
Asadesign Studio is winner of this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD, the world-renowned design prize. Manacá chair won in the Home Furniture category. Its design stands out for balancing lightness and structural rigidity. Produced in Cumaru, a dense wood of controlled origin, the item has a seat and back in nautical rope woven in a zigzag pattern, which gives the model expressiveness.  Recently launched, the chair has been a sales success in the Brazilian high-end decoration market. 
Each year, the world’s oldest independent design organization, Hannover-based iF International Forum Design GmbH, organizes the iF DESIGN AWARD. Manacá won over the 132-member jury, made up of independent experts from all over the world. The competition was intense: almost 11,000 entries were submitted from 72 countries.

Release of Brisa collection
The Brisa outdoor furniture collection was developed in partnership with Donaflor Mobília. With a chair, compact sofa, side table and lounger, Brisa presents a light and poetic design, with open weaves and curved lines. The first item to be launched was the suspended swing, which adds a playful touch to spaces.

Release of the Capitol bar
Integrating wood with a metal structure, the Capitol bar cart has presented, since its release, a very positive sales performance. Licensed exclusively to Sier, its design contrasts the lightness of the metal structure with the solidity of the solid wood wheels, in a very well balanced  volumes.

Content production at Casa Bazzotti
With 400 square meters of built area, and a beautiful project by architect friends Alexandre Ruiz and Thaís Saboia, Casa Bazzotti was home for a new production of content about the work of our studio. Ricardo Perini's photos, and the videos produced by OUA Oficina Urbana Audiovisual, were published on our social networks.

iF Design Award 2021 Finalist

We started 2021 with the excellent news that our Milá chair, made entirely from cast aluminum, was selected for the final phase of this most important design award in the world. Designed for outdoor areas, it is an item that gives a radically contemporary touch to an ancient production process - sand mold casting.

Physalis: Brazilian design for the world

Physalis was designed as a collection of lamps aimed at the US market. The project briefing defined wood finishes as the major differentiator, and stipulated technical conditions for approval in the North American market. The collection consists of the column, lampshade, wall sconce, pendant and ceiling light. The items were presented at the 2018 Chicago Light Fair, and at the 2019 edition of Euroluce - Salone del Mobile Milano. The lamp version was published in the prestigious Milanese newspaper Corriere della Sera, as an example of exuberant Brazilian design.

Mirante: expression of high-technology furniture

Mirante sideboard was designed for  the brand Vogue, having been launched at High Design exhibition in São Paulo, in August 2017. The design was conceive based on the highly technological potential of the factory.

January 2024
New release in Paris
Our CEO Alexandre Rocha went to Maison & Objet exhibition in Paris, to attend the release of Sol, Cacau and Samba outdoor collections. There were a total of 16 items, predominantly in aluminum and nautical rope, designed for the manufacturer Garden Art, from Guangzhou, and aimed at the European market. It was very gratifying to see an entire booth with products designed by Asadesign Studio, in the traditional Parc des Expositions Villepinte. Undoubtedly, the experience of working with a multicultural team and launching the collection in France expanded our horizons.

Research trip to Milan

The Studio's partners Alexandre Rocha and Daniela Ferro were at the Salone del Mobile. Milano 2023, where they could observe new trends, experiments and strategies proposed by major global furniture brands. A very intense whole week, with long walks also in Fuorisalone, which takes over the city, and is surprising at every corner.

New release at Casa Mollde
The release of Villar chair, designed exclusively by Alexandre Rocha for Pollus, took place at Casa Mollde, in São Paulo. On the occasion, a photo and video session was held to promote this new item on the manufacturer's portfolio. Villar chair stands out for the lightness of its design, and is produced in different finishing

standards.

Integrated design and engineering in a highly complex project
Lotus Healthcare, based in Araucária, Brazil, recently launched Pégaso Mobile X-Ray, with a design project carried out by our team. To the previously developed engineering, we added aesthetic, ergonomic and operational improvement factors. Pégaso is a healthcare product with the best of global technology.

Design Oriundi 2020, at Gabriel Monteiro

The Design Oirundi exhibition, curated by Joice Joppert Leal, took place in November 2020, at the ByKamy and Idália Brasil stores on Alameda Gabriel Monteiro da Silva, the main hub of high-end furniture stores in São Paulo. Several items from our recent production represented the studio, notably the Sakura lamp, Milá chair and Aruanã coffee table. The Neg lamp won the showcase at Idália Brasil (photo).

Morena: Brazilian talent at the Milan Design Week

Morena chair was launched at Abimad fair in São Paulo, in February 2019, with great success. Shortly after that, it was selected to be part of the exhibition "Brazil: Essentially Diverse", by Apex Brasil, at the Milan Design Week, from April 8 to 14, 2019. The item, shown at the Museo della Permanente, was viewed by visitors from more than ninety countries .

Lampejo - the portuguese word for "lightning" - is the name of our new brand of decorative ceramic items. In our virtual showroom, we offer 19 different items, including vases and table centers, all designed by our team and produced in our own atelier, which is located next to the studio. Photo collab with Tapetah
A photographic production collab between the brands Tapetah, Daniela Ferro, Ancezki, JamHouse and Asadesign Studio, resulted in the production of 27 beautiful promotional photos intended for publication in digital and printed media, showing armchairs and accessories set with new carpets. The clicks were made by Marco Antônio, who has an incomparably keen eye for decor photos. Tapetah is a leading high-end brand for decorative carpets in Brazil.

Release of the Pontal Collection
Consisting of a round table, a chair with arms and a sunlounger, the Pontal Collection is inspired by the exuberant nature of the seacoast of Paraná, which has Ilha do Mel as its most popular location. The items were designed to provide harmony and comfort to users of outdoor spaces and balconies, and enchants with the balanced combination of aluminum, nautical rope, wood and upholstery. It's great to start the year with such a relevant new release!

Photo production for Ancezki 
In March, we received the new items designed for Ancezki, of Bento Gonçalves, in our studio in Curitiba. In addition to carrying out final ergonomic assessments on the armchairs and chairs, we promoted a very special photo session at the premises of Oslo Design. Oslo is a furniture, lighting and objects store focused on original design and curated by architect Cláudia Guimarães da Costa. In the photo, our team: Guilherme, Helena, Bruna, Daniela, Alexandre and Nathália.

Kiklos Architects, brand design

Greek architect Grammatiki Zamani coordinates the Kiklos Architects studio, based in Dubai, and entrusted our team with the creation of her brand identity. The proposed and approved solution is this elegant monogram, proposed by Alexandre Rocha, which merges the initials of the name with the schematic drawings of architectural plans.

Aurora: an incursion into healthcare

The Aurora digital mammograph was designed by our team in 2017 for radiology equipment manufacturer Lotus Healthcare. ​A complex project, which required detailed research into technologies and usage situations. Aurora has been a market success since it was  approved by the regulatory authorities of the Health Ministry.
